Mayer Brown LLP's New York office is seeking an Associate, Counsel, or Staff Attorney with at least 5+ years of experience to support the firm's Broker-Dealer Regulatory & Compliance practice. Candidates should have experience with some of the following:
  • Broker-dealer regulatory and compliance matters arising under federal and state securities laws and self-regulatory organization (FINRA, securities exchanges, clearing agencies) rules
  • Broker-dealer financial responsibility rules, including SEC Rules 15c3-1 and 15c3-3
  • Broker-dealer registration and transactional matters
  • Examinations, investigations and enforcement actions
  • FINRA advertising issues
  • Trade reporting
  • Digital assets and distributed ledger technology

Superior academic credentials and excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are required.

The NY salary for an associate position is $365,000 to $435,000, for a counsel position is $440,000 to $500,00, and for a staff attorney $100,000 to $120,000, although the actual salary could be lower or higher if the candidate's skills and experience level are different from those specified below.
