Description:
Kutak Rock LLP seeks an attorney to join its corporate practice in its Northwest Arkansas offices. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in corporate transactions, such as real estate transactions, business transactions, mergers, and asset purchases. This position may be located in our Fayetteville or Rogers office.
Responsibilities:
Draft and negotiate a wide variety of transaction documents, including leases and other real estate related documentation, general contracts, purchase, and sale agreements
Prepare and review loan and security documents
Conduct financing transaction due diligence such as organizational documents, title and survey, grant agreements and other diligence review
Advise and counsel clients on real estate matters, including sales transactions, disputes, zoning, subdivision, and frauds involving real estate disclosures or mortgages
Manage regulatory and compliance related services ensuring that appropriate approvals are in place before transactions are executed

Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters and tasks simultaneously and to complete tasks efficiently, effectively, and in a timely manner
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines
Strong organization and matter management skills
Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff
Ability to work effectively with large working groups as part of a transaction team
Qualifications
:
Education and Experience
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA accredited law school required. Preference will be given to those with strong academic credentials, a judicial clerkship, or law review experience
Currently admitted to practice in Arkansas with an active bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within one year required
Minimum 3 years' experience in corporate transactional matters required, experience in real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and/or finance practices preferred
