This position is part of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 1L Scholars Program. 1L LCLD Scholars will also be invited to participate in the 1L LCLD Scholars Virtual Summit from June 3-5, 2025, plus some other hour-long programming throughout the summer, which focus on relationship building and career development strategies. Saul Ewing and Duke will select one first-year law student to participate in a 10-week summer program, spending seven weeks working in a Saul Ewing office and three weeks in Durham, NC working in Duke's Office of Counsel. Participating Saul Ewing offices include Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and Washington, DC. Applicants should include their preferred office and practice area interests in their cover letter.
Compensation for this position is anticipated to be at least $7,916.67 semi-monthly (twice a month). The actual amount will be set just prior to the start of the Program.
Candidates must meet LCLD's 1L Scholar Candidate Requirements (To be eligible as a 1L Scholar, you must be enrolled as a first-year law student and in good standing at an ABA-approved school.)
