Description:
The Cleveland office of Fisher Phillips, an international management-side labor and employment law firm, seeks an associate with 4-6 years of traditional labor and/or employment litigation experience, preferably including arbitration briefing, drafting position statements to the NRLB, drafting and responding to pleadings, managing discovery, drafting and arguing motions, as well as taking and defending depositions and participating in mediations, agency hearings, arbitrations and trials. You will work with and counsel clients on various day-to-day employment law challenges, drafting/revising policies, conducting manager training, and similar activities.
We seek attorneys with excellent academic credentials, strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to client service and a collaborative, team-oriented approach are essential. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
Prior experience in employment and/or traditional labor law is required, such as described above, and candidates must be admitted to the Ohio Bar.
We value work-life balance that seeks to meet the personal needs of our attorneys, while ensuring the highest service to our clients. Due to our commitment to a collaborative, team-orientated approach, we generally expect our Cleveland associates to be in the office more frequently than working remotely.
To apply, please upload a cover letter addressed to Elise Lyman-Hall, Attorney Recruiting Manager, along with your resume, a copy of your law school transcript, and a brief writing sample (10 pages max).
We are not accepting submissions from search firms.
