Overview:
Foreclosure Bankruptcy Attorney
Kelley Kronenberg is seeking a skilled and experienced Foreclosure Bankruptcy Attorney to join our dynamic team. This role requires a highly motivated individual with 3+ years of experience in handling bankruptcies related to foreclosures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in representing secured creditors and navigating the complexities of foreclosure-related bankruptcy matters in Florida.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and review Payment Change Notices, Post-Petition Fee Notices, Transfers of Claim, and Proofs of Claim for Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy actions.
  • Conduct detailed Chapter 13 Plan Reviews and prepare objections as needed.
  • Draft and file pleadings such as Motions for Relief from the Automatic Stay, Objections to Chapter 13 Plans, and related documents.
  • Represent clients at bankruptcy court hearings, both telephonic and in-person.
  • Independently manage a caseload, ensuring timely responses and meeting client expectations.
  • Handle escalated matters, including time-sensitive issues, with precision and efficiency.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with bankruptcy and mortgage servicing processes, including foreclosure-related matters.
  • Proficiency with LPS/Black Knight and Tempo software is a must; ATO and NetDocs knowledge is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills, with the ability to integrate legal analysis into clear, concise documents.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills to effectively present case facts and defend legal positions.
  • Ability to work independently, with appropriate guidance on novel issues, and manage multiple priorities under deadlines.

Position Requirements:
  • Juris Doctorate and admission to the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Membership in all Florida Federal Bankruptcy Districts is required.
  • At least 3-5 years of related experience in mortgage foreclosure bankruptcy or other default-related fields.

Work Environment & Expectations:
  • This is a full-time position requiring 160 billable hours per month.
  • Some travel may be required to attend in-person hearings or meetings.
  • Standard office environment with occasional lifting of office supplies up to 20 pounds.
