Are you looking for a great opportunity to become a great litigator with the opportunity to practice with a growing and thriving practice for the remainder of your career. We are seeking qualified applicants for our expanding professional liability practice with immediate placement available in our Pensacola office. The ideal candidate must have litigation experience preferably handling professional liability cases. Additionally, the applicant needs to be interested in handling own case load with some oversight by a senior attorney. You will be expected to be able to handle all phases of litigation and have experience in doing so. Must be willing to handle a wide variety of cases throughout the state of Florida and looking to gain more experience while having access to experienced mentors. Licensure in neighboring states in addition to Florida is a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research on various issues and provide analysis and interpretation of statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Interview clients, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information and evidence for cases.
  • Analyze and assess potential risks and liabilities associated with legal matters and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and trial preparation.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and other events related to legal matters and professional development.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar association.
  • 2-3 years of experience practicing law, preferably in the relevant practice area.
  • Top 20% of Law School graduating class.
  • Law review or journal a plus.
  • Strong academic record with excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of substantive and procedural law relevant to the practice area.
  • Experience with legal research tools and technology.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and areas of law.
