Responsibilities and practice:
Dentons US LLP is seeking a mid-level associate to join our sophisticated and highly-regarded Construction practice. Applicants should have excellent academic credentials and 3-5 years of legal experience. The person hired for this position will work collaboratively with dedicated partners and associates on a variety of complex transactional and litigation matters, including work related to:
Construction Agreements (including use of AIA platform)
Development Agreements
Design Agreements
Construction Related Disputes (including defect and delay)
Expected responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Performing due diligence, general research and writing
Assisting with drafting and negotiations related to the development of real property
Contributing to the coordination and execution of a broad range of complex transactional matters relating to development and construction
Assisting with construction related disputes in arbitration and litigation
Generally supporting the practice as needed

Based on years of experience, Dentons associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Position Requirements:
Personal skills/attributes:
Possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills
Has strong interpersonal skills
Is comfortable managing multiple workloads and can prioritize work effectively
Values teamwork and working in a collaborative environment
Technical skills:
3-5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience is required
Previous law firm experience is preferred
Construction experience is a plus
