The Dallas or Houston office of Baker McKenzie seeks a Mergers & Acquisitions associate with 3 to 5 years of experience, including drafting purchase agreements and definitive transaction documentation for public and private company targets and parties, running diligence and the corporate approval process for both public and private company targets and advising M&A-related securities matters and preparing M&A-related securities filings. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials and excellent communication, analytical and writing skills. They will also have significant M&A transactional work experience at a major firm or extensive second chair experience on smaller transactions. Ideal candidate will be familiar with managing the work of junior level associates on deals.

The Mergers & Acquisition attorneys at Baker McKenzie collaborate across borders and practice groups, bringing the right substantive knowledge and experience to anticipate and resolve issues in all involved jurisdictions, and offering a one-stop shop for their clients' deal and transaction related needs. Our client base spans every major global industry including technology, financial services, manufacturing & engineering, oil & gas, consumer products, media, healthcare and more. Whether our M&A clients are buying or selling, entering into a joint venture or making a strategic investment, Baker McKenzie attorneys work on every stage of the deal, from structuring, due diligence and negotiation through execution to implementation and post-deal integration. The transactional group at Baker McKenzie represents a significant portion of the Fortune 100 on acquisitions in-bound and out bound in hundreds of countries. This position will be exclusively M&A focused and is expected to be staffed on transactions ranging from 100M to 1B in transaction value on a regular basis for both private equity and strategic clients.
