Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, a full-service national law firm, seeks Litigation Associate(s) for its Philadelphia, PA office.

Candidates should have at least two (2) to five (5) years of commercial litigation experience in various federal and state litigation matters and experience in all facets of litigation, including drafting motions, taking and defending depositions, handling complex discovery (written discovery, document productions, subpoenas, depositions, protective/confidentiality orders, etc.), and preparing cases for trial.

The attorney(s) hired will work directly with partners and other associates on various litigation and business dispute resolution matters, including contracts, professional liability, premises liability, professional negligence, breach of contract, business torts, financial services, and fraud. Additional experience in representing and advising nonprofits in governance matters and counseling for-profit and nonprofit organizations addressing corporate responsibility is a plus.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong drafting skills
  • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ideal applicants are licensed in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and/or New Jersey
